ONLINE TRAININGS ON POST HARVEST AND VALUE ADDITION PLUM

Online training on “Post Harvest Management and Value Addition of Important Horticultural Crops” was conducted by the Central Institute of Horticulture, DAC & FW, Ministry of Agriculture, GOI, Medziphema. The training was conducted on 22nd and 29th May 2020 through Google Meet App, the objective of the training program was to impart technology on processing of seasonal and local fruits which are readily available and which can be processed at home during lockdown period to avoid spoilage and loss.

Dr.Moasosang Longkumer, Asst. Hort.Specialist and Ms. Vinika Aomi delivered lectures on post harvest management and value addition of plums, such as preparation of plum squash and plum candy.

A total of 28 interested participants joined the online training programme. Dr. N.K. Patle Dy. Commissioner DAC & Director i/c also interacted with the participants and encouraged them to be practical in every venture.
