CIH CONDUCTS TRAINING ON NURSERY MANAGEMENT
Central Institute of Horticulture, DAC & FW, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India, Medziphema, Nagaland organized 2 days training on Nursery Management of Horticulture was conducted on 19th and 20th January 2021 for famers, educated unemployed youths and participants from Organicflora FPC Dimapur. The training topic comprised of introduction and classification of nursery, layout and physical resources of nursery, management of vegetable nursery, management of nurseries under protected cultivation, Nursery accreditation and guidelines for recognition of horticultural nurseries. The institute also conducted field visit to the institute’s nursery unit and provided practical demonstrations on various propagation techniques in horticulture crops. Altogether 27 participants attended the training progamme on nursery management.
