CIH CONDUCTS FARMERS TRAINING IN MANIPUR

Central Institute of Horticulture, Nagaland, in collaboration with ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, conducted 2 days farmers training programmes in 5 KVKs under ICAR Manipur Centre during January to February 2021. The training was covered on various aspects of horticulture. All total 100 trainees from 5 different districts were covered under the trainings. Among the trainees, 34 were male and 66 were female. Various production technologies, post harvest management and value addition of Five important horticultural crops namely, citrus, pineapple, kiwifruit, king chilli and ginger were covered under the training programmes.

All trainings were organized with a combination of both theory and practical classes. The trainees expressed that the trainings were highly effective and they have gained new knowledge and skill which they will definitely apply in their respective farm.
